Where's the AMMO?
 

Given the current issues with ammo availability, I was thinking maybe there should be an "official" (possibly stickied) thread where everyone can post where they have been able to purchase ammo (online or retail), the type, price paid, limit on purchase, etc. This could be good information to have in one concise thread. What do you think?

For example, Dicks at the Mall of Ga just got a bunch of ammo on 5/1/09. I was able to purchase 9mm (Remington 115gr UMC Green Box) for right at $15.00 per box of 50 including tax. They limited me to 5 boxes. There was plenty of .40 S&W and .45 ACP, but there were people in line to purchase and it was going quick.

WOW! $15 a box! Damn, I remember a year ago when I was buying the same product for $7.00 from Dicks...of course these days, you take what you can get. I heard thru the grapevine that Cabela's is filling their online ammo orders first, prior to stocking the retail stores...apparently it's a 2-3 week wait for online orders. FWIW.
